The AI Specialist System

Exclusive Resources · Dragonfly Mastermind

Everything from today's session — prompts, frameworks, and setup instructions. Yours to implement today.

The Key Insight

Narrow Scope. Deep Context. A-Player Output.

Most people use AI as a generalist — a conversation partner they prompt over and over, hoping for good output. That's not how specialists work.

A great employee doesn't need to be re-briefed every day. They know your brand, your systems, and their specific role. That's exactly what we're building here.

These assets are platform-agnostic. The same prompts and approach work across Manus, Claude, ChatGPT, Hermes, OpenClaw, Paperclip, and more. Build once. Deploy anywhere.

The System

How AI Specialists Are Built: The 5 Layers

1

Prompting

The specialist's instructions and role definition. Critical for setup. Less important once the system is running.

2

Projects

The environment where your specialist lives. Each specialist gets its own project with its own scope. This is what separates a specialist from a generic AI conversation.

3

Context

The knowledge files you upload — brand guides, SOPs, examples, frameworks. This is what makes it yours. The richer the context, the better the output.

4

Skills

Reusable operating manuals for specific workflows. You build these yourself — more on this below. Once created, they evolve with you as your process improves.

5

Connectors

The tools your specialist connects to for execution: your CRM, email platform, social platforms, and more. This is where your specialist goes from creating content to deploying it.

Start Here

First: Extract Your Brand DNA

Before you set up either specialist, you need two documents — your Voice Brand Guide and your Visual Brand Guide. These are the knowledge files that make your specialists sound and look like you instead of generic AI.

Use the prompts below to create them. The AI will interview you one question at a time and generate finished Markdown documents you can upload directly into your specialist projects.

Voice Brand Guide & Life Story Prompt

Captures your authentic voice, communication style, personal narrative, and brand personality.

Upload to: AI Writer Specialist only

Works best in: Manus or Claude. ChatGPT also works.

Download Prompt

Visual Brand Guide Prompt

Captures your visual identity — colors, typography, aesthetic direction, design style, and imagery preferences.

Upload to: Creative Director Specialist only

Works best in: Manus or ChatGPT (requires image generation). Claude does not generate images.

Download Prompt

How to use these prompts:

  • Download the file and upload it directly into Manus
  • Tell Manus to read the prompt and help you create your brand guide
  • Use the microphone option in Manus to speak naturally — like you're telling a friend
  • Manus will coach you if answers are vague — lean into the follow-up questions
  • At the end you'll receive finished Markdown documents — save both files
  • These documents become the knowledge files for your specialist setup below

Your AI Team

Two Specialists. Two Lanes. Zero Overlap.

Each specialist has a narrow scope, its own knowledge files, and its own skills. This is intentional. Narrow scope means expert-level output. Don't mix them.

🎨

Creative Director Specialist

Visual assets, graphics, and image-based content

Your Creative Director handles everything visual. On-brand graphics, image generation, social visual assets, carousels, quote cards, Facebook images — all matching your exact visual identity.

  4. Build your first skill after you've run a workflow you know you'll repeat (see Skills section below)
  5. Optional: Connect your platforms via Settings → Connectors
✍️

AI Writer Specialist

Written content, copy, and text-based assets

Your AI Writer handles everything written. Newsletters, emails, sales copy, blog posts, social captions, scripts — all in your authentic voice, never sounding like generic AI.

Getting Great Output

The 5-Step Talk-to-Content Workflow

Turn one idea into publish-ready content in under 15 minutes.

This is a simple, repeatable workflow you can use with your AI Specialist. Instead of staring at a blank screen, you talk through your idea, let AI structure it, and then refine it into something worth publishing. Five steps, roughly 15 minutes, from raw idea to finished content.

1

Idea Extraction

5-10 min

Brain dump your idea via voice or text. Don't worry about structure. The messier, the better.

2

The Hook

1 min

AI generates 3–5 compelling opening lines. You pick the one that hits.

3

The Outline

2 min

AI organizes your raw thoughts into a logical structure before creating the written or visual asset.

4

The First Draft

3–5 min

AI creates the full piece. Should be about 80%+ ready to go.

5

Smack It Around

3–5 min

You refine the draft with specific, honest feedback. Two or three rounds gets you to 100%.

Building Your Own Skills

The Right Way to Create Skills That Actually Work

The best time to create a skill is after you've worked through a process or workflow you know you'll repeat.

Don't start with a skill. Start with the task. Run it through your specialist a few times, refine it, and once you have a workflow that produces great output — then package it as a skill. When creating skills in Manus, it will automatically create a simple 1-click install option.

How to create a skill in Manus:

  1. Work through a task manually inside your specialist project until the output is exactly what you want
  2. Tell Manus: "Turn this workflow into a reusable skill"
  3. Manus will package the process, prompts, and preferences into a skill file
  4. Just click to install the skill directly in your project
  5. When working in Manus, you can ask it to use any skill you have, or simply type / to see a list of skills

As your process improves, just ask Manus to update the skill. That's the power of this approach: your project provides the environment and context, and your skills handle the specific workflows within it. Skills are not static — they're dynamic and designed to evolve with you.

The goal isn't a perfect skill on day one. The goal is a skill that's 80% there, deployed, and improving every week.

How to Install a Manus Skill

(For skills you receive from others)

It typically works best when you create a skill based on a process or workflow. However, you can also use 3rd party skills from others. I typically don't install 3rd party skills, but they can be helpful as a starting point. Just keep in mind, you typically need to customize it to work exactly the way you want.

Below are a couple of skills I created that have "onboarding wizards" to help you customize them to your liking. This works BEST in a context-rich project environment. Meaning, you have your Brand Voice Guide already uploaded to your project. The wizard will ask you questions the first time you try to use the skill. You can tell it to reference any files in your project to help answer questions.

Story-Driven Email Campaigns

Create narrative-led email sequences that build deep connection and drive action — without a single line sounding like AI.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Open your Manus AI Writer Project and navigate to the Skills tab in the lower right sidebar
  2. Click + Add in the top right corner
  3. Select "Upload a skill" from the dropdown
  4. Drag and drop the .zip file — do NOT unzip or extract it first. Manus handles everything.
  5. The skill appears in your library and is officially installed
  6. Trigger the Onboarding Wizard by starting a new chat and asking Manus to perform a task related to the skill
  7. Answer the wizard's questions naturally — it saves your brand profile permanently so you never repeat yourself
  8. To call a skill manually at any time, type / in the chat input

If a skill requires an external connection (e.g. your CRM or email platform), the Onboarding Wizard will prompt you. Go to Settings → Connectors, authorize the platform, then return to chat.
